With a B.S. in Environmental Science from Wells College, and several years experience on the boards of local environmental organizations like Lake Forest Open Lands, Charenton Drake has always been involved with the environment in some way or another. From family camping trips to Girl Scouts to formal education to teaching to hiking to bike riding in the U.S. and Europe to designing gardens and more, she is outdoors as much as possible. Her favorite ways to get outside include walking her dogs in above and below freezing weather, and taking care of 11 beehives—donating most of the harvest to Elawa Farm, a local nonprofit. There is nothing she enjoys more than participating in or learning about our amazing world.
